He went on to reflect on Nigeria’s persistent challenges, saying: “Whenever I say that Nigeria may never get better, people think I’m trying to downgrade the country or talk it down. But this is not about hate — it’s about reality. I have lived outside Nigeria for over two decades. During that time, instead of things improving back home, the situation has actually gotten worse. So when someone confidently tells me, ‘Nigeria will get better,’ I honestly ask myself — Based on what evidence?”

Onyekachi lamented the nation’s inability to reflect on its problems: “The most painful part is this: anytime you try to state the obvious about Nigeria’s problems, or when a foreigner speaks the truth about the situation in the country, Nigerians don’t reflect, they attack, insult, and troll the person. We are very good at comparing ourselves against each other, but very bad at comparing our country with other countries.”

He chastised Nigerians for concentrating on personal achievements while neglecting structural flaws:

“We compare Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid every day, forgetting that all three are rich, successful, unique Nigerian artists who have already won. We compare Obi Cubana and Jowizaza. We argue about who has a Grammy and who doesn’t. But we refuse to compare Nigeria itself with other nations.”

The country’s emphasis on internal strife, online insults, religious division, and tribalism, rather than calling for improved procedures, was also attacked.

“Until we learn to accept truth, stop being defensive, and start holding systems accountable instead of worshipping individuals, nothing will change,” he wrote.

Onyekachi concluded: “This is not hate. This is not bitterness. This is an observation. As things stand today, it is hard to see Nigeria truly getting better again.”

  • GehGeh Reacts To Kai Cenat’s Heartbreak

GehGeh in a video has reacted to Kai Cenat’s video where he was crying after his girl broke-up with him.

In the video, GehGeh tried to reason why Cenat would record himself crying about his heartbreak.

He explained that being a man and recording yourself crying in a video about a woman is senseless and shows it’s a weak man’s behaviour. He added that it was a loss to Cenat and a win for his ex.

GehGeh asked if he was recording himself to attract empathy from the girl who cheated on him, asking further if a girl who cheated on him came back, if he would take her back?

While recounting Peller’s case, he assumed it could be a Streamer’s thing in a relationship.

GehGeh gave four mindsets to help men deal with heartbreak.

He said the first mindset is that knowing nothing is permanent in the world, it’s temporary. Explaining, he said, even relationships are temporary, and people can leave by choice or nature can take them away. He added that it’s only his father and his mother that he values more than anyother person, but nature had taken them from him, and he’s still living and he’s comfortable.

Still on the matter, he said sometimes he thinks about his parents, but doesn’t mean he has to lose his life over their passing, thus reiterating the certainty of the temporality of people leaving, and someone leaving others with such a mindset, no one would break the hearts of anyone.

The second mindset he mentioned was developing the Abundance mentality. GehGeh stated that all women created in the world belong to a man in abundance for him to have options to choose from.

He explained that when a woman notices that a man has no option, he would be treated unfairly and with laissez-faire. He said a person can have wealth and have no option, adding that it was Cenat’s reality where he has wealth, fame, but was only attached to one girl, which made him break down in a video.

In the video, GehGeh recounted his time in Honest Bunch, where he made a controversial statement about men not getting married, and if they want to, it should be polygamy, as it would give the man options of female choices.

He stated his third mindset as Plus and Minus. where he explained that plau a man or woman, minus a man or woman, the person’s life would still be relevant and will be fine. He said the person’s life has been going on well, without the person in his life, and the woman leaving would not amount to the man’s life being less relevant or meaningless. He advised that man’s life is complete and was well created by God, adding that every time any man wakes up, he should speak positive words of being complete to himself.

He advised that a man should build his life to the extent that if anyone lives it, it would be a loss for other people.

Chris, you’ve seen me finish ooo, honestly, you have seen me finish. This is $10,000, he gave me this $5,000 last night after we talked and he was pleading and all that. Then he gave me this $5,000 this afternoon.

“This man is just mad. You can imagine this man wanted me to come and say that all the pastors or a few pastors
were the ones who sent me to come and fight him. I should put it on the pastors’ head, then I will come out and debunk everything that I have said. Come on, you want me to take a fool? After all that I have said?

“Chris, you see this money that you gave me, it will never be a transaction of anything in my life or transaction of any part of my body. I cancelled every evil altar that you are coming from. He that is in me and protecting me is greater. I deliberately collected this money to tell you that everything i have said is the truth. I’m not lying and I will never lie. Chris, I’m not as cheap as you are, ten thousand dollars is nothing to me, and I’m not blackmailing you but I wanted the world to see that you actually gave me money. Chris, I will not lie on any pastor or put it on any pastor’s head. So, this is the money he gave to me with the Zenith bank envelope just now. Today is 23 December 2025, and I’m making this video by 5;39 pm”, she stated.

During her performance at the WeLoveYa Festival in Cotonou, the singer started crying. This event occurred soon after she had already voiced her dissatisfaction over sound problems at a concert in Ghana.

While playing “Somebody’s Son,” a song that has strong undertones of love and longing, Tiwa Savage was spotted sobbing uncontrollably.

Social media users praised her sincerity and emotional connection to the song in videos from the event that went viral.

  • Nollywood Filmmaker Dragged Naked Through Benin Streets Over Speech Phrase

Renowned filmmaker and Nollywood movie producer, Don Pedro Obaseki, has been on a widespread online after being dragged naked to the streets of Edo for his unguarded words to the Oba of Edo.

Obaseki’s London speech ended with “Edo gha to kpere”—long live the Edo people—instead of directly saluting the Oba, which some palace supporters saw an insult. This led to the ordeal on December 28.

He was briefly arrested at Oba Market Police Station before being released, despite spending decades promoting Benin culture through movies like Igodo and having family connections to the monarchy.

Amidst continuous palace tensions, responses range from defenses based in Benin culture to denunciations of savagery by individuals such as Godwin Obaseki and Inibehe Effiong.

According to some local media and eyewitnesses, the attackers believed Obaseki had disrespected Oba Ewuare II of Benin due to a public statement he made in London, urging people to wish the Edo people longevity and success rather than prioritizing the Oba’s wishes. Some interpreters saw this as culturally insensitive.

They carried him around Benin City’s streets, thrashed him, and undressed him—reportedly leaving him partly or completely nude.

According to the attackers, they brought a “Oghion” (enemy) of the Oba of Benin to answer for purported transgressions. They led him to the Oba of Benin’s Palace gates, where he was forced to kneel in public, a practice that is generally seen as extremely degrading.

“I am not making money. They sell another ticket to people and take them to my movie hall,” she said, adding that she had gathered evidence to back her claims.

The actress, who was recently involved in a dispute, claims that certain people in the film industry are scared to voice their opinions publicly for fear of intimidation.

“Do you know how easy it is for a woman to cheat? It is even easier for us. But men will spend money, efforts and time to cheat.

“But we, we are the ones receiving. It is easier for women to cheat. You know, we have work boyfriend. A woman not cheating is not because she cannot cheat, it is probably because she has one thing you lack, it is strength.

“Your life is the prayer. What you do with your life is your prayer. That is the only prayer. Your action is prayer. Somebody say so you don’t believe in God?

“This concept of God that most people have is why prayer is even now completely noid and void. Because this God you talked about, you claimed he has already written down what is going to happen from the beginning to end; his will must be done.

“So, except your prayer aligns with his will… If your prayer does not align with the will of this your God, then your prayer will not be answered. But clerics won’t tell you this because they want to exploit you.
