YouTube has released its official 2025 Nigeria Year-in-Review, highlighting the entertainment material, digital producers, and music videos that dominated Nigerian users’ viewing habits in the previous year.
The most notable individuals on the platform were gospel musician Akinade “Gaise Baba” Ibuoye and well-known Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli, according to the recently disclosed list.
Addy Awofisayo, YouTube’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, signed a statement announcing the news.
Gaise Baba’s viral hit “No Turning Back II,” featuring Lawrence Oyor, ruled the music category and ended up becoming the most viewed Nigerian music video of the year on the platform.
