“Burna Boy Named Top Afrobeats Artist of the Year by Spotify”

The 2025 Top Afrobeats Artists list has been made public by streaming behemoth Spotify.

Nigerians make up the entire list, with Burna Boy at the top.

Wizkid was ranked third on the platform, and Rema was placed second.

The top 5 is completed by Asake and Ayra Starr, the newest addition to Roc Nation.

Notably absent from the list was Davido, who is commonly considered to be one of the “Afrobeats Big 3,” along with Burna Boy and Wizkid.

The list of nations that listen to Afrobeats the most during the year was also made public by Spotify.

First on the list were the United States, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Nigeria.
