On Friday night, Big Brother Naija Season 10 viewers were taken aback when the live broadcast abruptly stopped airing.
MultiChoice Nigeria, the event’s organizers, said in a statement that a power outage was the reason for the disturbance.
They reassured viewers that the housemates were “safe and sound” in spite of the blackout after going off the screen for around two hours.
We’re currently experiencing a temporary break in Big Brother Naija transmission due to a power issue. Rest assured, the housemates are safe and sound.
“Our technical team is working swiftly to restore power and normal service. Thank you for your patience. Grab a snack, stretch your legs. We’ll be back serving premium entertainment shortly!” the statement reads.
Online conversation was instantly triggered by the pause, with viewers expressing both worry and a desire for the program to resume as soon as possible.
