Colleagues of renowned actress Peju Ogunmola have come together to support her after the tragic death of her only son, Ayomikun Oluwanisola, leaving the Nigerian film industry in sadness.
Colleagues and supporters were shocked to learn about Ayomikun’s death on Tuesday. Since then, Nollywood celebrities have showered the deceased actress with heartfelt condolences on social media.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, actress Biola Adebayo was one of the first to announce the tragedy.
She wrote:
“This is a big loss. This is devastating and heartbreaking. This is tragic. May God almighty comfort Mummy Peju Ogunmola who just lost her only child,” she wrote, calling for prayers for the family
Additionally, actor Odunlade Adekola posted a condolence message, writing,“This is a big loss. God will console you ma …… and the whole family. E le yi po oo.”
The loss was too great for Femi Adebayo to express. He wrote:
“Life has written a line too heavy for the stage… Today, we mourn with our dear elder, a thespian whose heart now carries the weight no mother should bear. My thoughts and prayers are with you ma. May Almighty Allah grant him Aljannah Firdaus”
Muyiwa Ademola acknowledged that he struggled to find the right words to comfort his colleague.
“A mother’s pain in losing her child is beyond words. Olorun ma fi ina omo jo gbogbo abiamo.”
