The winner of Miss Universe Nigeria 2025 is Onyinyechi Basil, who is representing Anambra State.
At the national beauty pageant’s big finale on Saturday night in Lagos State, the 25-year-old was declared the winner.
Basil defeated Chidimma Adetishina, the 2024 champion, after outperforming 21 other competitors.
“I want young girls to know that they can achieve more, and still celebrate their cultural identity,” the newly crowned queen remarked during her speech.
Basil will represent Nigeria in the international Miss Universe 2025 pageant after winning.
First runner-up was Miss Lagos, Damilola Bolarinde; second runner-up was Fortune Kurobo, representing Bayelsa; and third runner-up was Miss Ogun, Irene Ikediashi.
