Despite earlier disclosing that her womb is incapable of bearing children because of health concerns, American singer and actress Selena Gomez has stated that she is still hopeful about becoming a mother someday.
She disclosed that there are individuals who are prepared to act as surrogates for her and others, providing her with the chance to be adopted.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she stated, “I consider it a blessing that there are amazing people willing to do adoption or surrogacy, which are both enormous possibilities for me.”
However, Gomez acknowledged that having a kid through adoption or surrogacy will “look a little different,” but she insisted that “It’ll be my baby” and that she doesn’t care.
The 33-year-old celebrity, who has lupus, an autoimmune condition, stated last year that having a kid in her womb would put her life in jeopardy.
In December 2024, Gomez became engaged to producer Benny Blanco, her boyfriend.
Blanco has mentioned having children with Gomez in the future.
