GehGeh, a Nigerian comedian and content creator, has finally responded to the criticism of his humor, particularly the frequent jokes he makes about women.
Some internet users have criticized the clip producer, claiming that he was instilling a hatred of women in Nigerian men. According to recent reports, GehGeh educated men on how to handle their money and relationships with women in an online community that attracted over 20,000 members.
But in response to his detractors, the TikTok phenomenon clarified that his lighthearted observations shouldn’t be interpreted as prejudice or hostility.
He emphasized that he still has a lot of respect for women.
He wrote on X: “The fact say I dey talk about women no mean say I no like women ooh Nigerians.“If your girlfriend give me d**, I go collect”
GehGeh explained that he doubles down on his jokes since it’s his own special way of giving back to the community.
He wrote in a different post:
“So Nigerians, na bad thing to give back to the country? So na because of me APC government no take una serious for the country eeehn Nigerians. All I’m doing is giving back to my people and I’ll never stop.”
