Speaking about his friendship with the late artist Mohbad, Nigerian music executive Azeez Adeshina Fashola, also known as Naira Marley,
According to prior reports, the Marlian CEO told fans and critics on Monday, August 19, that he was willing to give his side of the story in the midst of the singer’s death controversies.
The “Soapy” hitmaker revealed in a YouTube video snippet of the full confession that Mohbad’s friends allegedly introduced him to a hard drug called Ice.
Noting that Mohbad expressed regret for his acts and disclosed that he used hard substances as a result of stress, Naira asserted that he counseled his former signee against using such substances.
Keep in mind that the music industry was rocked by Mohbad’s death in September 2023. Widespread demonstrations, candlelight vigils, and close examination of his contentious relationship with Marlian Music followed his unexpected death.
The weight of public opinion has never left Marley and his associate, Sam Larry, even after a Lagos state coroner cleared them of any direct role in the catastrophe.
The tale is still unfinished for a lot of Nigerians, which may be why Marley’s most recent tweet has attracted so much attention.
