In an emotional vow to his bride, Chioma Adeleke, during their white wedding ceremony in Miami, Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, poured out his heart.
Through her vocals, the singer depicted a love that had persevered through hardships and come out stronger.
He talked about how Chioma entered his life quietly before blossoming into a stunning, lively presence.
“This is the most nervous I’ve ever been. You are my love, my peace. You walked into my life quietly and became the loudest and most beautiful part of it. God sent you to show me what unconditional love feels. We’ve known love only people can dream of, and pain only we can understand, and we are still here. I promise to protect you,” Davido said.
The happy event is the couple’s third ceremony; they exchanged vows in a lavish traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024 and in a private court ceremony in March 2023.
Remember that the celebrations in Miami reportedly cost an incredible $3.7 million, making it one of the most lavish celebrity weddings of the year.
Prominent Nigerian celebrities, powerful businessmen like Aliko Dangote and Obi Cubana, and senior politicians like Governor Ademola Adeleke were among the A-list attendees of Davido and Chioma’s wedding ceremony.
With the theme “Havana Night,” their pre-wedding celebration was a star-studded event that included performances by well-known musicians including Zlatan, Adekunle Gold, and B-Red.
