Scott Iguma, an activist and social media star, has charged that the Nigerian police are conspiring to undermine the nation’s legal system.
Three days have passed since he was released on bail.
claims that after criticizing a real estate firm, PWAN, for allegedly defrauding clients, Iguma was taken into custody and placed under remand in prison by a Lagos State High Court.
On Monday, however, he was given N10 million bail.
Scott Iguma said in a new video released on Thursday to thank the public for supporting him that the police are a tool used to oppress innocent people.
He described his struggles and said that the Nigerian police do not uphold the constitution.
“With my experience with the Nigeria Police, it’s quite so sad. What I can say with my experience with the police is that they are not loyal to the country Nigeria, they are not loyal to the law of Nigeria, to justice. All they are loyal to is money.
“With my experience, I can say that the Nigeria Police are currently the one fighting against justice. They are not fighting against injustice. The Nigerian police are so cheap that you can bribe them with a bottle of coke, and they will help you convict an innocent man for murder. With what I saw, and what they did to me, is so sad.”
