
Popular singer Hamisu Breaker and TikTok star Abubakar Ibrahim were both charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with misusing Naira in Kano and were arraigned before the Federal High Court, which was presided over by Justice Sale Musa Shuaibu.
Both G Fresh and Hamisu Breaker entered guilty pleas after the accusations were read. They were then given a five-month jail sentence or a ₦200,000 fine by the court.
Breaker was convicted of spraying ₦30,000 worth of ₦200 notes during a party in Hadejia, Jigawa State.
Similarly, at a store opening celebration in the Tarauni area of Kano state, G. Fresh was found guilty of spraying bundles of 1,000 naira notes.
