Igbo guys are poor politicians, according to Nollywood legend Pete Edochie.
He clarified that betrayal is frequent in politics and that Igbos are not used to accepting it.
According to him, this has caused many Igbo politicians to dissolve their connections with important political allies, which would ultimately hurt their careers.
“An Igbo man is not a good politician,” Edochie stated in a recent interview with Afia TV. And I’ll explain why: Those who are accustomed to politics or the betrayal that characterized it may miss a lot of things. However, an Igbo guy is not built to tolerate betrayal twice.
In politics, if you offend an Igbo man once, he will never let you to do it again. He’ll pull back himself. The typical Igbo man is like that.
“The Igbo man is really not constituted to sustain political treachery. The moment you exhibit treachery in your involvement with an Igbo man, they cut you off. That’s it.”
