Omoni Oboli, a Nollywood actress and filmmaker, revealed the secret to her enduring marriage to Nnamdi Oboli, which has lasted for 24 years.

In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Omoni said that they decided to forgo divorce as a possibility before exchanging vows, which is what led to their successful union.

“Staying married for over two decades. First things first, you have to decide. It’s a decision. From day one, we decided that divorce was not an option even before we got married,” Omoni revealed.

She claimed that the dedication has enabled them to successfully negotiate the difficulties of married life, especially their tumultuous first year of marriage.

The mother of three went on to stress the value of forgiveness in a happy marriage, saying that the attitude has helped them resolve disputes and fortify their bond.

“If you want to forgive, there’s really nothing that someone can do that you can’t forgive,” she remarked. We must acknowledge that we are all sinners.

According to the movie, Nnamdi proposed two weeks after they first met and they were married four months later, making her love tale unusual.

Omoni acknowledged that she was inexperienced and young, but she fell in love with her husband’s affection for her.

Nnamdi Oboli gave young couples advice, emphasizing the value of accepting responsibility in a marriage.

“Marriage is a responsibility. You don’t go into a marriage expecting it to happen to you. You are the relationship. It’s between two people; you have to make it work,” she advised.
