Relationship therapist and media personality Blessing Okoro Nkiruka, also known as Blessing CEO, recently recounted a very personal story on an episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast about how she previously went to great lengths to express her love for businessman Ikechukwu Darry Ogbonna, also known as IVD.
Speaking in front of IVD, who was also present in the studio, she disclosed that she used to prepare meals for him in Enugu and deliver them all the way to Lagos at one point during their relationship.
She claimed that this was one of the ways she showed him how much she loved him.
Because her feelings for IVD were sincere, Blessing explained, she performed the gesture with ease and without hesitation.
She declared that when two people are genuinely in love, they frequently go above and beyond to make each other happy without being asked or prodded. It’s interesting to note that she acknowledged that she hadn’t cooked in more than four years before she fell in love with IVD because she usually hired a professional chef to prepare meals for her family in bulk.
Her mother was once reprimanded by her son for not cooking. However, IVD was motivated to get back into the kitchen and even went so far as to learn new recipes on YouTube in order to become a better cook.
The deed was more about the thrill of serving her man and the emotional connection than it was about the food. She thought it was a heartfelt way to express gratitude and concern.
