Recently, content creator Demz made waves on the internet by uploading a humorous and dramatic conversation with his mother in which he asked if he was adopted.
The incident came after he was linked to Burna Boy, a Nigerian musician with whom he feels a close physical resemblance.
In a video, Demz, who was clearly upset and perplexed, addressed his mother, claiming that there were too many parallels between him and Burna Boy to overlook. “My community also noticed the resemblance and were demanding answers,” he said in despair.
He claimed that the singer and he had a grin and similar features that suggested a deeper bond, perhaps a familial one.
But during the exchange, his mother stayed stern and contemptuous. At first, the suggestion baffled her, but as Demz continued, her reaction alternated between laughter and incredulity.
As Demz, torn between desperation and a need for clarification, pushed his mother to acknowledge if he was adopted, the discussion became more heated.
He became more emotional, implying that if Burna Boy were his biological brother, he might not really fit in with the family.
At one point in the film, his mother questioned his logic and possibly his sanity, flatly rejecting the assertion. She would not consider the possibility that her son was related to Burna Boy.
She walked away from him as he persisted, berating him loudly for his embarrassing question.
