On Wednesday, July 16, Hellen Ati, the purported baby mom of well-known Nigerian socialite Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chiefpriest, made a strong and public plea to his wife, De Angels, during a late-night Instagram Live session.
The Kenyan mother, who was clearly upset, spoke out about the paternity dispute involving her child and pleaded with De Angels to let her husband undergo a DNA test and fulfill his obligations to “their” son.
While thanking Nigerians for their support, particularly on social media, Hellen clarified that she could no longer be quiet.
She asserted that Chiefpriest has not come forward to take a DNA test in spite of numerous polite attempts to contact him.
Hellen has claimed that his wife is influencing his passivity by purposefully keeping him from carrying out his paternal duties. Hellen reaffirmed throughout the session that she has emotionally moved on and no longer desires a relationship with Chiefpriest.
She said that their child’s welfare is her first priority, claiming that the child is suffering as a result of the father’s lack of assistance. She talked about how she is currently struggling to support the child, who she says looks and acts like Chiefpriest, by using TikTok and driving for Uber. Hellen maintained that Chiefpriest would have assumed responsibility much sooner if De Angels had not been involved.
Hellen Ati stated that this was no longer a private affair in a tone that wavered between desperation and resolution. She also promised to keep speaking out in public until the DNA test was completed.
She emphasized that she is only asking for responsibility for her child and is not attempting to steal anyone’s husband. As the discussion came to a close, Hellen adamantly declared that she would never be silent and urged Cubana Chiefpriest to come and do the necessary action.
Sharing the video, she wrote: “@_deangels please talk to your husband @cubana chiefpriest to come and do the DNA test. This is getting out of hand, and I mean it.”
