Blessing Okoro, sometimes known as Blessing CEO, is a controversial relationship therapist who has spoken out about the issues that contemporary marriages face.
She blamed excessive chatting and social media use for the breakdown of many marriages in the present generation in a recent interview with Instablog TV.
She claims that in the present day, the conventional community organizations that formerly assisted in resolving marital problems are no longer useful.
Because some women find it difficult to balance their relationships and manage their freedom, she pointed out that women’s modern-day exposure and independence can be both a boon and a bane.
According to the relationship therapist, a woman’s success might make her husband feel insecure—not because of her accomplishments, but rather because he feels like his manhood is under danger.
Even in the face of success, she counseled women to maintain their femininity and softness because too much assertiveness or competition can cause husbands to go for solace elsewhere or dissolve the union.
“In our generation, because I am working and earning money, even if I am quarreling with my husband, what do I need to go to my husband for? Once a woman becomes independent, they begin to rub shoulders with men.
“A lot of people say that whenever a woman becomes successful the man becomes insecure. The truth is that no man is intimidated by your success, they are only afraid of the masculinity that comes with success.
“So women should always remember to be soft, no matter how much you have, because once you start to drag shoulders with your husband, he begins to cheat and look for a woman that is softer or he leaves the marriage,” Blessing CEO said.
