Nigerian musician Iyanya has talked candidly about his darkest moments, stating that he lost three family members in a two-year period.

In a recent interview with media personality Hero Daniels, Iyanya revealed this:
The music star said, “The lowest points of my life I would say losing three family members in about two years. My dad passed away about seven or eight days to me being recruited. Immediately I came out, my brother followed. And then my mom.
“The day my mom died, I had a show, I was at the backstage. I think four minutes to my performance, my mom’s junior brother was calling me back-to-back. So, I picked the call and he goes like, your mom is dead. I still performed despite my devastation.”
