After she made a live broadcast in 2023, actress Iyabo Ojo was invited by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to testify about alleged cyberbullying.
In a lengthy post on Thursday, the actress from Lagos claimed that she was invited to the National Cybercrime Centre in Abuja because she had called out some people for allegedly being involved in the killing of musician Mohbad.
“I was recently invited by the Nigeria Police Force, National Cybercrime Centre, Abuja, over petitions bordering on cyberbullying & other allegations concerning the live video I recorded a few years ago.
“In that video, I requested certain individuals to make themselves available for investigation into Mohbad’s sudden death in order to prove their innocence or otherwise,” she said.
Four months have passed since the court cleared Sam Larry and Naira Marley of any involvement in the killing of musician Mohbad.
Remembers how Mohbad passed away in September 2023 in very contentious circumstances. Following the release of footage showing how he had previously been harassed by his former record label boss, Naira Marley, and his associate, Sam Larry, his death became controversial.
Iyabo Ojo supported the calls for justice for the deceased, while the public blamed Sam Larry and Naira Marley for the development.
In October 2023, the two were taken into custody after persistent public pressure.
Naira Marley claimed N500 million in damages and a public apology from Iyabo Ojo in December 2023.
The actress filed a N1 billion lawsuit in response to Naira Marley.
