Habeeb Hamzat, often known as Peller, is a Nigerian TikTok sensation. Although he has publicly stated that he no longer wishes to visit his family, a video that surfaced showing his mother beaming with joy at the construction site of a house he is building for her left fans feeling conflicted.
The 19-year-old content producer, who gained notoriety through contentious livestreams, has suddenly gone viral on the internet once more, not only for his kind gesture to his mother but also for his frank and cruel comments about severing his family’s physical links.
The viral video shows Peller’s mother smiling happily at the construction site, offering viewers a preview of the house her son is building for her.
Others couldn’t help but think of his recent interview in which he emotionally separated himself from the same family he is assisting, even though many commended his compassion.
The TikTok star startled fans by admitting that, despite continuing to provide for his family financially, he is no longer emotionally connected to them during an open live session with actress Sandra Benede.
Peller said: “I do call my mum on video. I still called her on video yesterday. I don’t even like to see my family again. I just want to send them things and make sure they’re okay. My mentality has now surpassed staying with my parents. My thinking has surpassed theirs.”
Peller’s remarks have sparked a contentious internet discussion, with many people wondering if his celebrity has made him conceited or just laser-focused.

@ItzVictorB said, “Peller is doing what most boys can’t: providing from afar. That’s maturity in another form.”
@SeyiCruze_ added: “It’s giving ‘money no be love’. Still, the house is a big flex for his age.”
