Daniel Ademinokan, an actor and filmmaker from Nigeria, has spoken out about his ex-wife Stella Damasus’s allegations that their marriage ended, and his response has gone viral on social media.
In a re-released 2023 interview with Teju Babyface, Stella stated her friends contacted to inquire about her divorce and she discovered the information on YouTube. Daniel, however, has now publicly criticized her for lying and provided evidence in the form of email receipts.
On Saturday, June 29, 2025, Daniel responded critically to Stella Damasus’ widely shared allegations in a long Instagram post.
He posted a screen grab of an email purportedly written by the actress on July 20, 2021, asking for an address to submit divorce documents.
He wrote: “Silence is not guilt. Distance is not weakness. But lies? Especially ones I have receipts for? That’s a different story.”
Daniel went on to say that despite his years of silence, Stella’s persistent fabrications compelled him to speak up. He said that the actress had been trying to win over the public’s sympathies by portraying herself as unprepared for the divorce, a claim he vehemently refuted.
Daniel revealed more than just email receipts. In addition, he made grave accusations regarding the hardships he and his son had during their marriage. He disclosed that his son had to wear makeup to school to conceal an injury, and he stated that he ended the marriage in 2020 for his own mental health and the physical safety of his child.
Even while he didn’t go into specifics or specifically blame Stella for the abuse, his remarks alarmed fans and raised further concerns about the couple’s tumultuous past.
The Nollywood filmmaker said he’s moved on, remarried, and focused on protecting his family, and he urged Stella to stop entangling him in her “soap opera.”
