After a brief hiatus, well-known Nollywood actress Angela Okorie, better known online as Legit Queen, has returned to social media, sparking rumors.
Social media rumors surfaced while Angela was abroad, claiming that she had been arrested by Nigerian police due to a video showing her jogging while being escorted by officials.
The viral video of Angela and a few of its policemen caused the Nigeria Police Force to express displeasure. Actress Mercy Johnson allegedly petitioned Angela, according to another rumor.
According to Nollywood producer Stanley Ontop, he was informed by a source that actress Mercy Johnson and Regina Daniels’ husband Ned Nwoko filed a defamation suit against Angela.
Ned and Mercy planned to use their political power to lock Angela up for eighteen years, Ontop said.
In an interview with fans after the rumors surfaced, Angela Okorie denied that she had been detained. She revealed that the police had invited her and had answered.
Angela declared that she would no longer reply to any drama about her that was posted online. A video of the actress at the airport with D’banj’s “Olorun Maje” playing in the background was also uploaded.
“Some people dey wan make I cry, Some people dey make I die, why? Olorun maje o, Some people dey pray make I slow, Some people no want make I grow, no, Olorun maje o.”
