In the first episode of the reality program reunion, which debuted on Monday night, Zion and Chinwe, former Big Brother Naija Season 9 housemates and ex-lovers, got into a furious disagreement over who ended their relationship with whom.
According to Zion, he ended his relationship with Chinwe because their goals were incompatible.
He was rebutted by Chinwe, who called his assertion “a lie.” She argued that Zion’s carefree demeanor was the reason their relationship terminated.
Zion said: “I basically ended things [broke up with Chinwe].”
The host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, asked: “Why?”
Zion replied: “Because I felt like we were moving in different places in our lives; how she let it play out.”
Chinwe inferred: “What Zion will not do is sit here and lie on me now.”
Zion asked: “How did I lie on you?”
Chinwe replied: “You could have owned the narrative, my love. What do you mean you broke up with me?”
She described how, despite her request for Zion to come home and spend time with her before she left at noon the following day, he went out clubbing all night the day before she returned to her post.
According to her, Zion turned off his phone and said he couldn’t get a ride at the moment, so he drove past them to his friend’s place the following day.
Chinwe asserted that because she disclosed on the reality show that she had sponsored Zion, his family and friends despise her.
