Contentious Nigerian singer Habeeb Olalomi Badmus, better known by his stage name Portable, has taken issue with an interview that fellow artist Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, well known as Bella Shmurda, recently gave on the podcast of sketch creator Isbae U.
Bella Shmurda was asked whether he might work with Portable on a song during the interview.
In response, he said that their musical tastes are different and that he steers clear of “wahala” (difficulty), implying that working with Portable might provide difficulties. Portable was offended by the remark and attacked Bella Shmurda on social media.
“Bella’s head is not correct,” the Zeh Nation leader said plainly, asserting that he was superior to Bella and that they were not on the same level. He added that Bella would never be able to compete with him in the profession.
During the video tirade, Portable made fun of Bella’s professional accomplishments and inquired about the number of nations the singer had traveled to. He challenged Bella to present his passport as evidence of his own worldwide excursions, boasting about them.
By mentioning the late Mohbad and implying that catastrophe ensued after Bella featured him, the musician who recently released a diss tune incited fury. Bella was only speaking out now, he claimed, because he was attempting to stay relevant and get ready to produce a new record.
Portable questioned whether success in the music business had to be “by force” as he concluded his tirade.
Additionally, Portable stated that he played at Bella Shmurda’s London show without receiving anything. He cautioned him about dragging someone larger than himself. Watch the video here.
