I’m benefitting from what I was trolled for – Rema

Rema, a well-known Afrobeat musician from Nigeria, has expressed happiness at being trotted on social media.

Rema said he liked being trolled because of the advantage that comes with it in a social media video interview.

The musician said, looking back on his career, that being continuously trolling online has helped him succeed and expand internationally.

Rema, who faced doubt about his distinctive voice, observed how disastrous it would have been if he had given up on his goals due to unfavorable remarks.

“Seeing something that people troll and criticize me for is beautiful,” he remarked. And what do you know? That’s working in my favor. What if I had listened to trolls or stopped? As if I ought to say, “Oh, I think I should turn it off.”

And it continued to pay four years later. And there will be more. It’s a vast territory, don’t you think? In fact, I was the first Afrobeat performer to visit India. And if my memory serves me well, I even came from Africa. However, it is a big deal.
