Jude Abaga, a Nigerian rapper and music executive best known by his stage name MI, has voiced his profound sadness over the latest wave of murders in Benue State, expressing sympathy with the impacted people and demanding an end to the ongoing bloodshed.
MI posted, “My heart is heavy,” on X on Monday. Seeing so much of the Middle Belt bleed makes me very sad. Our people, families, and communities are being ripped apart by the latest massacres in Benue; they are more than simply statistics.
“My brothers and sisters in Benue have my solidarity,” he added. My pain is your pain. This cycle of violence that has afflicted our nation for far too long must be normalized. We shall never forget the people we have lost. We support those who are still standing.
In addition, he demanded a more thorough inquiry into the attacks and increased protection in all communities that were at risk.
