After VeryDarkMan posted a video about Burna Boy, his followers took to social media to attack the online critic.
The critic, whose real name is Vincent Martins Otse, recently posted a video in which he criticized Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid for using their money to buy fancy automobiles rather than giving Nigerians more authority. He asserts that Nigerians don’t value the Big Three musicians.
This happened soon after Davido purchased a 2026 Maybach and a Cybertruck for himself, while Burna Boy spent N3.2 billion on a McLaren.
Fans of the musicians, particularly those of Burna Boy, were agitated by VDM’s video. On social media, they reposted an old video of the internet critic discussing using other people’s money to make plans.
VeryDarkMan was responding to the dispute between Cubana Chiefpriest, also known as socialite Pascal Okechukwu, and his family member who criticized him for not providing him with financial support in the leaked clip. Because they are both physically capable of working hard and earning money on their own, VDM stated in the video that a man’s money is not his brother’s money.
VDM said:
“This mentality of say your brother get money, you come feel say your brother owe you… your brother’s money is not your money. You have two legs, you have two arms, you should go and hustle. If your brother decides to help you, fine and good. If he doesn’t want to help you, fine and good.”
Burna Boy’s fan on X, who shared the old video, @Mygodfather__, called on VDM to explain his statement in the clip. He also advised him not to be a hypocrite. In his words:
“@thatverydarkman you must explain to us how Burna Boy money belongs to Nigerians ooooo. Don’t be a hypocrite.”
