To the delight of many admirers, Nigerian highlife artist Bright Chimezie has inked a contract with Sony Music Publishing.
Remember how Bright Chimezie made headlines lately when he was hosted in Lagos by David Adeleke, better known as Davido, who was inspired by one of his songs, “Because of English.”
Sony Music announced a publishing agreement with Bright Chimezie, according to Vanguard. It was agreed that the global publishing house will preserve and advance Chimezie’s artistic heritage in addition to managing and compiling his library of timeless melodies. Mr. Godwin Tom, Managing Director of Sony Music Publishing Company Nigeria, stated:
