After introducing a new product in his church, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto, the founder of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry (CMDM), has caused a stir.
In a widely shared video, the clergyman—who was recently dragged by social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, often known as VDM—was shown presenting his audience to a “spiritual Automated Teller Machine” (ATM).
The prophet claims that the spiritual ATM functions inside the user rather than like a typical machine. He added that the spiritual ATM card costs $20 on the church’s website and that the card will expire in six months.
The clergyman stated in the audio that when his congregation obtained the spiritual ATM card, assistants would enter their lives. He went on to say that the card will vanish if they did not take care of it.
Prophet Omoto invited a woman forward to demonstrate the spiritual ATM card to the crowd.
The cleric has previously introduced contentious products into his church. In addition to the “spiritual underwear” he previously introduced for ladies, he has also promoted additional items such as sugar, golden spoons, holy water, spiritual clothing, and more.
His followers have been outraged by the introduction of these products and their exorbitant costs, and they have voiced their displeasure with the commercialization of such spiritual goods.
