Salvation Ministries’ founder, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has advised his followers to make offerings greater than their tithes.
Tithing, or ten percent of one’s income, is the cornerstone of wealth, he said. The cornerstone of your commitment to prosperity is tithe. Don’t put off paying your tithing until the end of the month. As a way of life, give 10% of every dollar you receive to God,” he said.
“Your offering ought to surpass your tithe within a month. For example, I never donate less than 20 percent of my giving. That’s why I’m not poor. Increase your offering more than your tithe and you’ll never be broke,” he stated during his sermon.
