Peter Okoye, a former member of the P-Square duo, has publicly criticized his brothers Paul and Jude for trying to intentionally harm his character during their ongoing legal struggle on social media.
Peter claims that the issue started when Jude’s attorney accused him in court of lying in a statement he gave to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) about the case involving royalties.
In a string of Instagram posts, the singer claimed that the deliberate effort to paint his brother as dishonest was orchestrated by his publicist.
Peter expressed outburst, stating that he will no longer be the ‘bigger person’ as he had previously vowed.
The singer said, “Exactly what I was talking about, their publicist doing everything for me to look like a liar. I am not May D or Cynthia Morgan, I am Peter Okoye, the one and only the rock/okwute of the Okoyes. The truth shall surely prevail.
“Una thief abi una no thief?”
Peter Okoye went on to say that he will never again keep quiet about wrongdoings since the tragic case of the late musician Mohbad taught him the value of speaking up for oneself.
“After watching everything about Mohbad’s death and how the whole thing played out to date, I decided I would never play the bigger person nor act as the mature one. And that’s exactly what led to this whole madness. Simply because I was trying to be the bigger person! Omo! Never again,” he said.
He revealed that the 2021 P-Square reunion that was celebrated by fans was the result of manipulation.
