Over the past year, the world has witnessed the breakup of American diva Cardi B and Offset, and the terms of their drawn-out divorce have taken on a new significance.
It appears that the former member of Migos is asking his ex-wife for financial assistance as they work through their turbulent lives together as a married couple.
The Atlanta rapper “filed an amended divorce response earlier this month in which he’s now asking that Cardi pay him spousal support,” according to TMZ on May 29. According to the website, he is still pursuing shared custody of their children and did not include a precise amount in the documents. He believes that the children should live primarily at Cardi’s place.
After seven years of marriage, the Bronx rapstress filed for divorce in August 2024, and the couple has been arguing on social media ever since. She also gave birth to her third child with “Set” that same summer. Together with their son Wave and eldest daughter Kulture, they have three children altogether. Offset made an effort to exacerbate the online outcry caused by their relationship dispute last month.
He posted on X: “Keep my name out sh**t please, thank you tired of this circus I want out. Let ppl live they life… I want peace no smoke I love all bardi gang we grown man she happy let her live she don’t want to see this sh*t either man life goes on we can all be friends man.”
On May 28, the rapper known as “Ric Flair Drip” disclosed that his next project was officially filed and prepared for distribution.
Since the 2018 release of her Grammy-winning first album, Invasion of Privacy, Cardi B has been hinting on her sequel album for a number of years. She assured her fans that 2024 would be the year, but the body of work never materialized. Nevertheless, she did give her fans an explanation for the delay.
