According to Nigerian musician Kizz Daniel, things aren’t going as planned with his new EP, “Lemon Chase.”
“Uncle K” is a very personal body of work that covers everything from love and grief to peace and a good time that every listener can identify to,” he said, adding that the seven-track project is more than simply a teaser for his future album.
The boss of Flyboi revealed that he wanted to be genuine, honest, and true to himself when creating the EP.
The “Madu” crooner said, “When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it, I wanted this project to feel like real life; sweet, sour, confusing, beautiful. This is music for your heart, for when you’re healing, or hoping, or remembering. I just wanted it to be honest, authentic and true to self.
Zlatan and Fola, Bella Shmurda, Odumodu Blvck, Johnny Drille, and five-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo are all featured on the EP.
Many music fans believe that the lead track, “Police,” which features Johnny Drille of Mavin and five-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo, could be a candidate for the Best African Music Performance award at the upcoming Grammy.
