The doctor from Enugu, Levi Obieze, also known as Ezeani, has maintained his innocence despite being charged with kidnapping and ritual killings after remains were discovered buried in his compound’s soakaway.
Obieze was apprehended on a motorcycle as he attempted to cross a land border out of Nigeria.
Obieze was stopped by his other villagers who did not want him to be king when he was being questioned by an immigration inspector.
According to him, an innocent man is not afraid of being accused since the God of retribution will defend him.
He said while being questioned: “It’s a political issue, it’s something politics. Fabrication against me because I will be next of king and some people in my village don’t want me to be that next of king. So, they are painting ev!l against me, front and back, so that I can fall.”
Asked if he’s a native doctor, he replied: “No.”
This is despite the fact that numerous videos depict him performing customary activities.
He went on to say that the people who “planted” things in his compound were the village president general.
“They set me up because of this royalty thing. “De@d body was planted in my soak away by someone who works for them,” Obieze remarked.
He maintained that he is a businessman that sells okirika, or used clothing.
