Nollywood veteran Jumoke George’s missing daughter, Adeola Omotoso, has claimed that she was sold into prostitution in Mali.
A few days after being saved by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, or NIDCOM, the 41-year-old revealed this.
After four years after Adeola’s disappearance, actress Jumoke George reportedly declared her missing.
Adeola said that she was trafficked to Mali for prostitution during an interview with actress Biola Bayo on the Talk to B podcast.
She described her experience, saying that someone who volunteered to help her trafficked her to Mali for N250,000 on the pretense of looking for better opportunities.
“I met someone who told me about visiting Mali. She used a drugstore in Mali to trick me.
“I consented without telling anyone. For four days, we traveled by car via Ghana, Togo, Cotonou, and other nations.
“I called the contact I was given when I got to Bamako in Mali. It was when I got to her house that she told me that she has bought me for N250,000 from my sister, and I will work to pay her 1.5 million CFA. She said I was there for prostitution,” she narrated.
Adeola added that after landing a job as a food vendor, she was able to leave the brothel.
