Asa Asika, the manager of music star David Adeleke aka Davido, has remained in the news with his wedding to billionaire daughter, Leona Adesanya.
Recall that on May 17, 2025, Asa Asika, who is also the ex-boyfriend of billionaire’s daughter Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola aka DJ Cuppy, got married to Leona Adesanya, the daughter of billionaire oil baron, Laitan Leno Adesanya.
Soon after the wedding of Asa and Leona was made public, one Facebook user Taiye Jiboduwa went on Facebook to give his views regarding Davido’s manager and the women he had dated.
Igbo men do not only desire Yoruba women, but they also desire the best among them, the netizen opined. He alleged that after Asa broke up with DJ Cuppy, he moved on to date another Yoriba woman from a well-to-do family, Leona Adesanya. Jibioluwa went on to say that even though Asa Asika is not a degree holder, he still ended up with a wealthy Yoruba woman such as Leona who has a master’s degree from one of the UK’s most elite universities.
He then asserted that Igbo men such as Asa were getting into influential and powerful Yoruba families while the women did not mind marrying a celebrity. The Facebook user cautioned Yoruba people to tread carefully prior to talking about a Jewish billionaire never giving his daughter to a non-Jewish man in marriage.
Jiboluwa wrote: “These Igbo guys are not just after Yoruba women; they are after the best of them. After losing DJ Cuppy, this Asika set eyes on another Yoruba lady that came from a super-rich family, Leona Adesanya. With no degree and Leona with masters degree from a top UK varsity and a super-rich dad, they are planting themselves in powerful and influential Yoruba families through their daughters while those ones think they are dating some celebrity. Why DJ Cuppy, why Leona Adesanya, another Yoruba billionaire daughter? See the agenda? Yoruba e fun Ra o. A Jewish billionaire would not give his daughter to a non-Jewish man just cos they want to preserve wealth and keep it in the family. Yorubas, I’m afraid, aren’t thinking of their future. Reacting, Taiye Jiboluwa’s Facebook post caught the attention of many netizens after he tried to draw a connection between Asa Asika’s past relationship with DJ Cuppy and his present marriage to another billionaire daughter, Leona Adesanya
